2. Location Data & Background Tracking (Prominent Disclosure)
Driver Fleet - Driver App (com.driverfleetindia.driver) collects precise location data (GPS coordinates, heading, and speed) to enable nearby dispatch job matching, turn-by-turn route navigation, and live trip tracking for the business job poster EVEN WHEN THE APP IS CLOSED OR RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND.
This location collection is active ONLY when the driver has explicitly switched their status to "Online" or is actively fulfilling an accepted delivery job.
Why Location Data is Needed:
- Nearby Job Matching: To identify nearby delivery pickup points in your immediate area and send you relevant job requests.
- Live Delivery Tracking: To allow the business who posted the trip to view vehicle progress in real time during an active trip.
- Navigation Assistance: To assist in driving directions to pickup and drop-off locations.
- Fair Dispatching: To ensure trips are offered to the closest available driver.
3. Information We Collect
To provide reliable dispatch services, we collect:
- Account Information: Name, mobile phone number, email address, and login credentials.
- Driver & Vehicle Details: Driver’s license information, vehicle plate number, make, model, and vehicle type (e.g., bike, car, van, truck).
- Location Data: Real-time GPS location while Online or during active delivery assignments.
- Trip Information: Pickup and drop-off addresses, delivery timestamps, and completion records.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system, and push notification tokens to send trip alerts.
4. How We Use Information
We use your information strictly for commercial platform operations:
- To register and verify driver and business accounts.
- To match business trip requests with nearby available drivers.
- To send instant mobile notifications for new delivery requests and updates.
- To calculate distances, transparent trip earnings, and driver payouts.
- To provide customer assistance and maintain platform security.
5. Data Sharing & Privacy
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal or location data to any advertisers or third-party marketing companies.
Information is shared only under specific operational circumstances:
- With the Assigned Business: When a driver accepts a delivery, the business posting the trip receives the driver's name, vehicle details, and live trip location until delivery is complete.
- Private Company Data: Each business account operates in a private, isolated workspace. Other companies cannot view your internal trip records or private drivers.
- Legal Compliance: If required by law, official government inquiry, or court order.
6. Security & Data Storage
We apply standard industry safeguards to secure your personal data, including encrypted communications, protected databases, and access controls for all account records.
7. Account & Data Deletion
You have the full right to delete your account and remove your personal information at any time:
- Go to Settings > Delete Account within the mobile app.
- Or email us at privacy@driverfleet.in with your registered phone number or email address.
Upon verification, your account and historical location records will be permanently removed from active databases.
8. Age Requirements
Our platform is designed exclusively for commercial businesses and licensed drivers aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly register or collect data from minors.
